About Annie

I have had Annie for a year and a half. I adopted her from a shelter with no known history. She is between 2 and 3. She is a wonderful dog who listens well to commands (sit, down, stay, come, heel, shake, etc). She lives with my other male dog who is very easy going, they are absolutely best friends. She gets along with some female dogs, there just wasn't an option to say some dogs. She also does great with older kids, kids younger than 8ish make her nervous. I really do not want to give her up, I would love to find a trainer or someone very experienced who could work with her for a time. She is particularly struggling with my neighbors dogs who she wants to attack no matter what, and has bitten my neighbors to get to their dogs. She does best with confident, stable dogs, any dog that is calm, not reactive to her nervous energy upon meeting. Her issue with other dogs is her biggest problem, otherwise she is a great dog. Her challenging traits are that she can be anxious, dominant, and overly protective. Her aggressive behavior is much higher at our house/a space she perceives as 'hers'. Positively, she is affectionate, loyal, joyful, athletic, and highly intelligent. I have horses who she is very well behaved around. I think she would love to learn to herd, or do some kind of agility, and believe that would be an excellent outlet for her energy. She gets a lot of exercise and time outdoors currently, has no health problems. Please reach out to me if you or someone you know would be able to help me with Annie.
