About PANDA

A friend of mine called asking for help... Her son unexpectedly passed away last year at age 47, leaving his two dogs behind. My friend has stayed with them but the house has now sold and she is moving to senior independent living and cannot have pets. Panda, pictured here, is a very sweet senior himself -- roughly 11 years old. His partner in crime for the last couple years is a youngster with too much energy... always jumping on Panda who is not in the mood for that kind of play. They are squabbly together and each has very different needs. Panda is a Weimaraner / pointer mix would like to be an only dog and he'd love to be with people who are home a LOT. He would enjoy strolls around the neighborhood and lounging in the house with you. He is nervous of newcomers at first and doesn't like a lot of action, so a home with no children would be best, or feasibly at least 16 years old and of a calm and respectful nature. Once he trusts someone, he is a really good boy who would appreciate attention, but also will appreciate heading to his blanket on the couch so he can just relax until it's time for breakfast or dinner or a walk, and just keep an eye on things from his perch.
