NEEDS RESCUE, PLEDGES, OR ADOPTER! Tucker A656874 2Y Male Germ Shepherd 58.30 lbs MEDICAL: Unable to examine due to behavior. BEHAVIOR: Tucker was having difficulty in his home coping with the noisy, active children who lived there, and he is having similar difficulty coping in a busy shelter environment. He seems unaccustomed to a great deal of common touch/handling from people; in the home, he was once accidentally let out by the children & air-snapped at a stranger who came to the door. He flails & panics in response to restraint & backs away when neutrally, gently offered soft contact. He did allow petting briefly to his back end in passing, and genuinely seemed to enjoy it, though it did not lead to a lasting effect on his interactions with people. He has shown soft, calm, pro-social interest in other dogs while here; he has a history of living and getting along with both dogs & cats. THIS PET CAME TO THE SHELTER AS AN: Owner Surrender - Owner Problems **************************************************************** ADOPTERS - This pet is only available to Rescues. BUT you can adopt through Safe Haven, or any other Rescue willing to pull this pet. An approved application is required before the pet is pulled from the list, and a $25 deposit is required that will go towards the adoption fee of $85. I am a trainer, and I will work with the pet as much as you want before doing the meeting. You are not obligated to adopt at any point.
