About Blossom

**PLEASE READ BLOSSOM'S BIO THOROUGHLY BEFORE INQUIRING** This is our beautiful little girl, Blossom! isn't she just adorable? Blossom is a 7-8 yr old, female, Maltipoo who is about 12lbs. She is just the cutest little fluffy thing with little short legs. Blossom was dumped at the shelter where her owners asked for her to be euthanized but the vet would not do it and called us to see if we could rescue her, and we did! The poor little girl was left in such bad condition with double ear infections, not spayed, and a yeast infection covering her from head to toe. It took us quite some time, but with vet visits, meds, good food, regular grooming, and supplements, she is so much better. We need her to go into a home that is savvy with the skin issues of a Maltese dog, someone that can see the signs that she's getting itchy, licking too much, shaking her head, etc and will get her to a vet right away. She must have monthly flea meds and a cytopoint shot (for allergies) every 3 months, and a specific diet which all helps with keeps the yeast from invading her body. She must go into an adult only home. I like to compare Blossom to a cat, because she is so easy to have around. She's quiet, she LOVES just napping all day, some occasional sun bathing, and is perfect when you leave the house. She can go into a home with another mellow, calm, and little dog or she can be an 'only' dog IF you are home most of the day and not gone long hours. One thing to note is she still pees in the house once in awhile, even with outdoor access. We think she was probably kept cooped up and never let out of a specific area so she would just learn to go potty where she was. She will use potty pads if you leave them out. Another thing is she cannot go into a home with carpeting. We have found that the carpet fibers irritate her skin. If you are looking for a dog that you can take here, there, and everywhere and want a super bouncy playful dog, then Blossom isn't the dog for you unfortunately. The perfect home for her would be a retired family home or an adult only home where the owners are homebodies that just like staying at home relaxing. Please note that Blossom LOVES to sleep on the top part of the couch (where your head goes) and in the bed with you, so her future home must be ok with having their pets on the furniture. Blossom is one of the cutest little dogs you have ever met. She was dealt a bad hand in getting owners that did not love and cherish her, so we made her the promise that we will find her that forever home that will DEFINITELY love and cherish her the way that she deserves!
