About SAVIOR

***NEEDS FOSTER or FUREVER HOME*** Currently in Boise Meet SAVIOR ! He is a 1 year old that didn't have the best start to his young life. SAVIOR is a typical active pup who is looking for a leader to show him all good things. He has displayed reactive behaviors around strangers (especially men) that aren't familiar with how to approach dogs. SAVIOR has found an angel in one of the rescue's volunteers. She takes him to the foothills for long outings away from the kennels. This is what she says about SAVIOR: 'He behaves really well on the trail. Bikes and men, in particular, do not bother him. He pretty much ignores them. He is very interested in other dogs but does not display aggression towards them. Looks more like he wants to play.' SAVIOR ignores the geese on our walks. He is more interested in getting belly rubs and massages. He really enjoys his chewies like bully sticks. He seems like he is meditating during this time. For now, we are looking for a home without small children and with an experienced handler. BACKGROUND: SAVIOR was first rescued by a Good Samaritan who reported that he had been beaten, neglected, and malnourished in his first home. She cared for him to return him to a healthy weight, but could not undo all that he had been through. She ultimately relinquished him to the rescue in hopes that we could find SAVIOR's furever home.
