About Koda

Koda has had some difficult times The past few years. Her owner had some mental health issues and passed away. I was informed by a family member that she was crated for long hours and neglected. She was fed cheap dog food and overweight. After her owner past she was placed in a boarding facility for 2 weeks then headed to the county shelter if she did not have an outlet. After taking her into my care I became sick with covid and unable to visit with her so she sat at my boarding facility for another 3 weeks. Our volunteers tried to work with her however she was angry and aggressive lunging at staff and volunteers. I quickly earned her trust and started introducing her to other people including volunteers visitors and staff with lots of positive reinforcement. We then started introducing her to other dogs and she is learning to play and become a happy well adjusted dog again. I am committed to helping her new owner with training. I am hoping somebody will have enough kindness to come and visit with her a few times prior to adopting her. Once she gets to know you she is going to be a loyal friend and protector. Dogs like humans under stress shut down become depressed and angry and defensive. Please give my sweet girl at chance and consider adopting her. Koda is medium size, She was about 60 pounds however is losing weight and becoming healthy with a better diet and play time. She is vaccinated dewormed, spayed, microchipped and has received flea and tick prevention. I will include a free training session and unlimited phone consultations if needed.
