About Ryan

RYAN IS LOOKING FOR A COLORADO FOSTER TO ADOPT! Ryan is a 6-year-old Pit/Lab mix that was used as a bait dog in Texas. Teeth filed down with emotional scars bigger than the physical ones, he was found as a stray, and quickly euthanasia listed at the shelter. We fell in love with Ryan immediately and rescued him. Ryan is currently in a wonderful foster home but is unable to remain there past April. Given the special furever home, Ryan needs and deserves, we are starting the networking process early. We can't wait to find this boy his happily ever after. Fostering is 100% FREE! All supplies and medical coverage is provided, and Ryan's parents will receive free professional training for life. First dibs on adoption if you fall in love.��%BC RYAN'S IDEAL FOSTER/ADOPTER HOME - Must live in Colorado - Must have a fenced backyard - Ryan needs a home where he feels safe and where everyone is patient/kind. He takes a while to trust even the most basic things: having his food bowl put into his kennel; being taken outside (on a leash to start, until he gets used to the yard); being scratched gently under the chin (never over top of his head). He also thus far has not barked once. - A consistent schedule. Ryan is on a regular schedule, he can make it overnight without needing to go out, up to about 9 hours. - Someone who understands his fearfulness who will continue working with our trainer (either virtually or in-person). Everything scares Ryan! - Ryan CAN live with another adult dog, as he has benefitted from this in the past. The dog must be an adult, calm, confident, and friendly (but not in your face!) Ideally, a dog who will give him the space he needs but be a friend when he's ready. We need everyone's help finding Ryan's match. Please consider sharing to help this precious boy.
