Is Elf still available?? (Unfortunately, we will not reply to emails asking this question as we do not have the time or volunteers to do so. We update our website daily just so you will know the status right away). PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE (wowdogrescue.org) for up to date information to find out. Check the Gallery on our home page by putting your mouse on the photo. IF it says Pending, we chose someone, but they haven't met up yet. If it says Adopted, then the dog has been happily united with a forever family. IF nothing is there other than their name, they are still available. APPLY if interested so you can be considered. *Our page is updated daily. Please go to www.wowdogrescue.org for any updates. When you see a dog of interest, 1)Go to our website. Home page, www.wowdogrescue.org 2)click on the dogs photo in the photo gallery (MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT MARKED PENDING OR ADOPTED) 3)it will take you to the 2nd page with the dogs info and more photos. Go to the very bottom where you Will find a purple box that says 'Adoption form' 4) click on it 5)complete the form 6)click on submit ***ONLY If you are chosen for the dog, you will get a call and the dog will be marked PENDING Until we meet up and you adopt the dog. Then the dog will be marked ADOPTED. THANK YOU! Elf is one of the Christmas puppies of mama Joy. ALL 4.1 pounds of him as of 2/18/2021! Elf was Born on Dec. 22, 2020. (Mama Joy is a chi-weenie, and we are not sure who daddy is... however Joy had 9 puppies, and majority of them look nothing like their siblings, so daddy was most likely, several). Elf is a tiny adorable male puppy who likes to play with his sibling jingles. They are the best of pals. He sleeps most of the day and luckily he sleeps most of the hours of the night. He looks like a beagle/Chihuahua mix. Elf is going to make one family very happy he provides much playful entertainment and cuddles. Elf has a beautiful coat, with the bottom half white, and then a darker coat on top...sporting two white dots on his back. He probably would not bother a cat but he's never been around one. He does good with other dogs, but he is significantly smaller, so he will need a home that is sensitive to his tiny size so as not to get stepped on. He is interested in playing with other dogs. Of course you would do fine with children but tiny kids and toddlers would need to be very careful around him, and also be aware that he has her puppy teeth. He does fine with men/foster in the home and does not show any signs of fear with them. He was interested in the vacuum with perked up years but he did not run away. Right now the fosters are working on getting him potty trained. So far he uses the restroom right away when he is placed on grass. If he is inside we use potty pad training. He will sometimes missed though. He goes poop frequently and is often loose. He does OK in the crate but will often whine when he sees you. He's too tiny to go through a doggie door yet. He is not least trained he will follow you in the yard though. Elf likes to play with stuff toys and will tear them apart. So far the stuffed toy elf was torn apart by elf. Yes yes yes he loves to be cuddled and in your arms and looking up at you with those puppy eyes. His favorite thing to do is wrestle with his brother. He uses a small dog travel bag for car rides. He will try to chew on the mesh or any puppy pads that are left inside. Elf is currently going through his series of puppy shots and has been neutered and microchipped. (he is too young for a Rabies shot). WE ARE NOT PETFINDER.
