This sweet puppy is housetrained and knows a few commands. All he needs now is a friendly home with a happy family! A volunteer writes: Hey there, Marshmallow here! While I do love spending cozy days inside on my dog bed, what I would really love is some outdoor space to run around freely! Like any responsible pet owner, my space should be securely fenced in, as I am a big dog and can bark and jump pretty high. I prefer to be the only dog in my house, so a yard would let me safely exercise and enjoy outdoor fun without being bothered by other four-legged animals. I would love to play fetch or just let my zoomies out in the fresh air. So, the only thing left to ask is... got yard? What my friends at ACC say about me: I need a home where there are no other dogs. I need a home without cats or small animals. I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me. I will need daily physical activity to keep me healthy and happy! I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them. I am not one to sit still! I will flourish in a home with someone that will keep me mentally and physically active! Owner had Marshmallow in the home for several months but had to surrender due to pet conflict. Marchmallow previously lived with 1 adult, 3 children, 1 LMB male dog. When a stranger would come to the home and approach Marshmallow, he was always friendly. Marshmallow has been around 3 children age range 1-16 and was always friendly and playful with them Marshmallow lived with another unaltered large mixed breed dog and owner stated that Marshmallow has bit the other animal several times previously. Marshmallow has never lived with a cat so behavior is unknown. Marshmallow is not bothered when the owner would approach his food, treats or toys. Marshmallow has never bitten a person but has bitten the other dog in the household. The most recent bite was on 12/2/2020. Marshmallow is housetrained. His previous owner describes his energy level as high. Other Notes: Marshmallow was not bothered when the owner would hold/restrain him, being pushed off furniture, being given a bath, having his nails trimmed, having his coat brushed or when a stranger would approach the home or a family member. Has this dog ever had any medical issues?: No Medical Notes: Marshmallow does not have any known medical concerns For a New Family to Know Marshmallow is described as friendly, affectionate and playful with a high activity level. He likes to play with all types of toys. He was kept indoor only and would go potty on a wee wee pad or on the floor. He was fed dry food only (different brands). When left alone in the home, he would chew on household items. Marshmallow knows the cues sit and down. When on leash, he will pull very hard. INTAKE NOTES - DATE OF INTAKE, 12/03/2020: Behavior during intake: Marshmallow has a tense body and was lip licking. Staff member was able to approach him slowly, leash him and put him into van without any concerns. Bite history: Yes, Marshmallow got into a fight and bit the other resident dog multiple times, resulting in cuts and punctures.
