About Miss Charlie

This cute red gal is Charlie. She is a 11 months old ACD who has a docked tail and weighs about 40 pounds. Charlie knows her obedience commands: ��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD%BD%A0Sit, stay, come, down, off, leave it, and break. She is house and crate trained. Charlie has been good so far with the people she has met. She has not been around kids, so we won't place her in a home with small kids. Charlie is friendly with other dogs but plays very rough. She is not a dog who will be ok at the dog park. The large Labrador that she lives with gets very irritated at how she nips at his face for fun. She will thrive as an only dog or with just the right other dog, but ideally not a female. Charlie does live with two cats. She will sometimes chase them for fun, but these cats are very dog savvy. They also do sleep together from time to time. So, Charlie should be fine with polite introductions to cats who don't let dogs be a pain. Charlie is a fun gal for someone quite active. A few miles a day won't be enough for this girl! Charlie is learning to fetch and starting to understand that part of the game means releasing the ball when given the release command. She loves to go on car rides and is good on leash. She will be a great hiking, jogging, or biking partner. Yes, she knows how to run alongside a bike! Charlie does have some leash reactivity and has been getting much better. Her new home has to be ready to keep up that training. Charlie is a smart girl and learns very quickly. She is a loving girl who does like to cuddle. She will thrive in a home who knows how to manage this breed. Her ideal home includes a nice yard. Charlie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She is located in SoCal. Adopters must be able to meet and adopt here. We do not ship our dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required.
