TANK%BD'%BD%BC%BD%BD%8F%BD'%BD%BC%BD%BD%8F%BD'%BD%BC%BD%BD%8F%BD'%BD%BC%BD%BD%8F%BD'%BD%BC%BD%BD%8F Location Los Angeles PREFERED: A HOME WITHOUT Other male dogs, cats or young kids. A house with a fenced backyard is preferred. Tank is a 2.5 year old GS : Pitty mix- he weighs 50 lbs. and he's an absolute genius! You can ask him to sit, down, stay, leave it, back up(walk backwards), standing high fives, he can also roll over and/or spin in either direction (see video). If you want to teach him anything it won't take long for him to learn it because he loves to learn and finds it very stimulating. Continued training is a requirement for Tank's adoption, regular training for dogs is a bonding experience where they grow and for Tank it would help with his confidence and new love for his next adopter. Tank loves attention and his human family. He comes from a home with 2 female black labs ages 1 & 2, but does not get along with the other male dog that he lives with. His person must down size and can not take Tank with since he has not been getting along with the other male dog in the home. Since he is dog selective it might be best to be the only dog in a household, but it's not impossible with a successful meet up that he could safely live along side another friendly female dog. Tank sadly originally comes from not-so-good home and was rescued from the pound around age 1 and because of that experience he needs time before he can trust any new face. His doesn't have a lot of confidence around new people and can't be pet straight away by strangers without a few successful introductions first. This unfortunately means he cannot safely be off leash in public, but would honestly make a great addition to any home where someone is patient and has the time to build trust with him. Since he lacks that confidence - he should not be around young children who may not understand how to respect his boundaries. Other basic info: No history of health problems, house trained, if you leave your house he won't destroy it or things it it nor will he bark or whine. He is very good on his own. Training sessions to help transition Tank to his new home(with a trainer Tank knows very well) come with the adoption of Tank!!!
