GIMLI *Gimli was rescued from a severe hoarding situation. Before filling out an application to adopt, please read the paragraph posted after his description.* Surprisingly outgoing and friendly considering his not so ideal upbringing, Gimli is a 2 year old American Eskimo Mini mix who is quite curious about the world around him. He is learning that pets may very well be his new favorite thing and grows more affectionate daily. He typically greets new people with cautious sniffs and wags. He: Is 24 pounds Is working on housetraining. Is learning to walk in a harness, but still finds it uncomfortable. Is good with other dogs that can hold their own and correct any rudeness. Is nervous in the car. Is medium energy. Every day we see more of Gimli's personality shine through, and he is showing himself to be both loving and spunky! Having never lived a moment of his life without another dog nearby, it is essential that he go to a home with another pup to be friends with; once he feels safe and confident in his new family, he will have a blast exploring all that life has to give! Would you like to be the one to show it to him? Rescued from a hoarding situation where 90 dogs were abandoned in a trailer home, Gimli had a harsh and unorthodox start to life. Any applicants need to understand that he has a lot to learn: potty training, walking on a leash, sharing food and toys, meeting new dogs/people, receiving affection, being alone - these are all brand new ideas for Gimli. Discovering this great big world for the first time will sometimes be scary or overwhelming for him, but with patience and love healing is more than possible. We have had Gimli examined by a veterinarian and fully vetted. He has been treated for any symptoms/conditions noticed by the doctor at the time of his examination and to the best of our knowledge is healthy, however due to his previous foul living conditions there may be potential for future medical concerns outside of routine care.
