HI - I'M ABBY. I am a 4-year-old female terrier, likely Jack Russell mix, and have been terribly neglected. I was recently saved from a shelter after the shelter asked my owner to surrender me. Per the shelter I endured animal�%A0cruelty and medical neglect. They shaved me down completely as I was full of mats, but I still am a beautiful girl. However, I have a big swollen belly and have just been diagnosed with Cushing's Disease. I am now on meds for the rest of my life to help me cope with that condition and likely improve - I have many years ahead of me, per the research out there. I would love a forever home for once in my life where I am finally shown love and caring and compassion. I'd do best with a person or people are home most of the time and can never neglect me again. Can you adopt me? I weigh about 21 lbs.
