About Lally

Meet Lally; a beautiful, mixed breed dog, who looks to be primarily a Cairn terrier, who is approximately one and a half years old, and weighs 26 pounds. She travelled all the way from China to find her new family, but she thinks it will be worth the trip! Lally is a special needs pup, and although her back legs do not bend due to neurological issues, she has adapted well, and is able to do just about anything she sets her mind too, with the exception of climbing stairs and jumping up on the couch and bed. She is fully vetted, loves other dogs and kids and is cat friendly, but she does chase them because she wants to play. Lally is progressing well with potty training, and does still have an occasional accident in the house, but she LOVES to be outside so she will do fine with more practice. Because she likes to be outside so much, and is not the best listener (yet), I recommend that she has a fenced in yard. She will also do best in a home with no or very few stairs. If there is a step to go up to get in the house after potty time, you may have to help her, and as with any dog who is learning to be in a home, patience and love will be needed to help her learn all the important things. That being said; Lally will be your constant companion, offering love and snuggles all the time, and is happy to sleep on a cozy nest next to your bed (or by your feet if you lift her up on the bed), but she will need help getting down. She LOVES chew toys, balls to play fetch with, treats, kisses, and will be an amazing, joyful addition to the family who has a little more patience and understanding that she needs extra help at times.
