We bought four pullets from tractor supply in late summer and kept wondering why one was so much prettier than the others (we are new to chickens) then we got back to town from a vacation and my pretty 'pullet' started crowing! We confirmed with Hoover Hatchery that they can only sex with a 90% accuracy so we were that lucky ten percent that got a rooster that was sexed as a pullet. He is not aggressive to people but we are in the process of getting a special permitted that allows chickens but no roosters so we have to rehome him. He is beautiful and a very good protector, he has been chasing off hawks recently.
