About Rosie

Adoption Fee: $350
Miniature Pinscher
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

IN PERSON Meet and Greets will be held in RIVERSIDE, CA Please fill out an application to start the process to meet ROSIE https://pawsitivetailstoremember.forms-db.com/view.php?id=17980 ROSIE is 8 yrs old, she weighs approx. 12 lbs and this very vocal girl is a Miniature Pincher with the traditional black and brown short haired coat and bobbed tail. Rosie is spayed, up to date on her vaccines and is microchipped! Rosie was just examined by our vet and had a full senior blood panel done with no issues! From her foster mom: Rosie wants nothing more than to have her own space and she must have a large crate that she can call hers and hers only'|.also, be sure to leave the crate open if she is out and walking about. At night, Rosie enjoys total privacy in her crate as she considers it her 'safe' place and she is house broken and learning to enjoy walks! Rosie can get snappy, so when you first adopt her don't try to be friends with her; leave her alone except for feeding times. We strongly advise that from day one until she learns the routine of going out, that you keep the leash on her'|.a few feet of the leash can be outside the crate. Take her outdoors with the leash and let her walk around to find her potty place; tell her she's a good girl then go back inside, she will want her crate! Rosie isn't going to be a lap dog. In time as she gets to know you she will mellow and trust. She will play little bouncing Rosie games with you'|.always keep in mind she is a senior and set in her ways. If you can refrain from touching her the first 2-3 weeks all should be good. It should be noted that Rosie's prior owner was nearly 90 yrs old and it's clear that Rosie spent the majority of her time in a crate. We are so happy that Rosie is finally starting to learn to be a dog; she's learning what it's like to play and to interact with people. Rosie is adorably vocal and will make all of these Rosie growly sounds which is her way of communicating with you. We know that it will take a special person or couple to adopt Rosie and we will not adopt to anyone with young children in the home. Rosie is okay with other small dogs and she's even learning to tolerate cats! Will you take a chance on this deserving senior? Rosie would love nothing more than to find a loving family to call her own.
