About Thomas

Are you looking for a best friend that is intelligent, sweet, and full of wiggles? Look no further than Thomas! Thomas is a 2 year old Shepard mix and weighs 46 pounds. Thomas comes to us an an owner surrender after his family found they were no longer able to provide adequate care. He lived in an apartment with a potbelly pig and a female pit bull but Thomas did not leave the apartment frequently other than for quick walks. His foster has observed that new situations and environments are a little out of Thomas's comfort zone but with kind and encouraging words and proper correction Thomas will settle down and listen to his foster family. With a slow and supervised introduction to the other 6 dogs in his foster home, Thomas acclimated well and plays nicely with his foster siblings. The same care and consideration should be given if Thomas is to join a family with another dog(s). Thomas is a smart boy! He knows basic commands and seems eager to learn and aims to please! Thomas is a joy filled guy and will great you with full body wiggles. He gets so happy that his does butt will wiggle faster then the rest of his body and he will spin around before sitting. He is kennel trained but does have some anxiety when left alone. He has never been destructive, however he does wine and bark. Thomas is house trained and will let you know when he is ready to go outside and do his business. We think a family that has at least one person that either works from home or is home for the majority of the day would make a perfect home life situation for Thomas. Directly from his foster: There is so much I can say about Thomas. He is a bundle of love. He wants be your best friend, is so willing to do what you ask, and wants to be lap dog.
