We have a 10 month old Staffie that we need to rehome. He is a very good dog, but cannot get along with our 8 year old bloodhound/boxer. They've had a couple bad fights recently. We had them evaluated and the diagnosis was canine competitive aggression along with an inherited fear. He is timid when first meeting new people, but warms up quickly. He loves kids, and would thrive in a home where he is the only dog. He has 2 cats that he chases around the house but never gets too rough with them. He loves to cuddle on the couch and sleeps between our legs in bed. It's breaking our hearts to have to get rid of him, but we have no choice. We've been spending our days making sure they don't get too close to each other to prevent any more fights, and it's really taking a toll on us. We don't want to turn him over to a pound or shelter that would end up putting him to sleep. If you could share this with any contacts you have we would appreciate it so much. My name is Steve Markowitz and you can contact me at [email protected]. Thank you.
