This note was logged by a volunteer who spent some time with SIMON: 'Older guy was sleeping in his kennel. I went in tossed him some treats he came out a little bit timidly. Came over to me and I was able to lease with no problem. He got some pep in his step when he started walking. Easy on leash. Lots of confused whining in the yard - seemed to be looking for his person. Wandering the perimeter. Allowed petting and touching all over but wasn't ever relaxed. Took treats gently. Once back in the kennel he nuzzled his head in my lap. Exited without issue. Poor guy.' If everyone will Share SIMON, this sweet, gentle senior might find himself in (meaning 'indoors') a forever home sooner rather than later. He's neutered and ready to depart the shelter.
