About Reggie

This senior miniature schnauzer was found in a forest preserve and was taken to an open intake shelter. We believe he fell in a pond since he was found soaking wet and he is semi-blind and older. He could not have walked far since he seems to have arthritis. He is a super sweet boy, and is looking for a great forever home. He is about 10 years old. He would do best in a home with someone home most of the time since he needs to be around his humans all the time. He is sweet and good with other dogs, and even though he is partially blind, he can get along fine on his own. He does bond strongly with one person, and wants to be near that person all the time. He may bark a bit when that person leaves, so he would do best in a home and not an apartment. He also can do a ramp to go outside or a step or two, but could not be able to safely navigate a bunch of steps on his own. He does fine with other dogs, but can get jealous if another dog gets near 'his person,' so may do best in a home with no other dogs. A quiet home would be best for him. He is neutered, recently had a dental, up-to-date on shots, microchipped, heart-worm tested negative, and fecal tested negative.
