About Tucker

Tucker is 4 years old, he has been in the same home since he was 8 weeks. We have been having some aggression issues lately and I am running out of options. He has been to training for his behavior, socialization, and obedience and nothing seems to be working. The trainers I have worked with have said that a lot of the problems that I am seeing, they do not see to be a prominent issue, and that I am the root of them. Tucker is very protective and dominant and that seems to be the cause of his issues. When I take him out, he is very reactive to cars, dogs, and any sort of bike/skateboard activity. However, when he goes outside with my roommate, or anybody other than me, he is perfectly fine and just looks the other way to all of these distractions. It is getting to a point where he will just lash out and bite me out of nowhere even when we are just sitting on the couch hanging out. It's making it hard for us to trust each other and our relationship just continues to deteriorate. Tucker needs to find a new home ASAP so that he can really thrive. He needs a big backyard and someone who is active and very patient and willing to work with him. He would do best in a home with no other pets or small children, but could warm up to other animals with time and the right environment.
