About Louie

URGENT! Help us save Louie! This poor senior boy has been at the shelter since August 2019!! That's way too long for any pup, especially one his age. He should be living out his senior years in a home, not a cold kennel. This boy is a happy, friendly, energetic boy who enjoys walks and playing ball. In the shelter play yard he relaxes and loves playing fetch. He has so much spunk for a senior...you would never know this boy is 12 years old! On the lead he does pull and does not want to go back inside his kennel. Can you blame him? He has had some positive meets with other dogs but we think a home where he is your one and only is best as he does have some guarding issues...we also recommend no small children for the same reasons. He just needs to feel safe in his home with his people and we think even that will subside. He would do best in an adults only home with a yard (pref fenced) so he can get his silver sneakers runs out of his system. He has no health issues and is a love bug. Please help us give this boy the best years of his life. His adoption fee has even been prepaid by Save-A-Senior, a program in Burlington County NJ that helps our seniors find their forever home.
