Topaz and Baby are senior chihuahua girls from the same home. Topaz is listed as 20 years old and 7.5 pounds. Baby is listed at 16 years old and 11.5 pounds. They found themselves in the shelter after their owner passed away. The girls are looking for a nice quiet retirement home. They do not require much. They mostly eat and sleep. They both have a heart murmur and dental disease. It is not recommended to put them under anesthesia, for cleaning. Topaz likely has osteoarthritis and Baby is seeing impaired. They still get around ok. Topaz makes me laugh because she will come looking for you, when she is hungry. She will get up on her little back legs and almost dance. Baby will steal her food if they are not fed separately. Baby will growl and bark at Topaz. I would like to find a local to Charleston, SC fospice home, for them. The Rescue will provide their food and medicine and you will supply the love. Both girls are spayed, heartworm negative and up to date on all preventatives and vaccinations. Would prefer a home without small children due to the age of the girls. If you can provide a soft bed and some love for however many years they have left, please email us.
