Please note that we are a TX based rescue that transports our dogs once they have been adopted. All of our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. I am an 14 month old Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) mix and my ancestry hails from a country down under. True to my Australian Cattle Dog hairytage, I am super smart, catch on fast, and am high energy. I would do well in agility or obedience training. Wikipedia has this to say about my ancestry: 'As with dogs from other working breeds, the Australian Cattle Dog is energetic and intelligent. It responds well to structured training, particularly if it is interesting and challenging.' Ha...it is almost like Wikipedia knows me personally!! I weigh in at the pawfect weight of 48 pounds of love and affection. I am the pawfect size for a day of hiking and then snuggling on the couch...still leaving room for you!! I would do best in an active home with a hooman (s) that likes jogging, hiking and outdoor activities (How 'bout some shrimp on the barbie, Mate :). A large yard for me to run off my energy would be desirable as well. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE scritches and snuggles as well.
