About Poncho

Meet Poncho.. he is an elderly Toy Rat Terrier we pulled as a stray from a kill shelter. He is the sweetest little guy of 7 lbs. We guessing he is about 9 years .. maybe even younger but had a rough life. He is fit and fully loaded with energy. He is so adorable that we are all obsessed with him. He is close to house broken, off leash obedient best co pilot you could ask for, great with kids, people, cats, dogs all sizes and all he wants is snuggle up with you on a soft blanket. He is funny and so talkative... He has the funniest bark and howl when you come home and is so super excited when he sees his person walking through the door. He was in a foster to adopt trial but was returned due to a small medical issue. He has a condition which is called PARAPHIMOSIS... his little penis dries up and get stuck outside and can't retract. Simple fix when this happens... take a clean wet paper towel and clean it off ( in case hair or dirt is stuck on it) put some vaseline or lube on it and gently pull the skin back over. This usually happens between once and twice a day. Common in older small dogs. He is worth this little effort because he will fill your heart with joy and laughter.
