About Luna

Luna has a beautiful blue eye and a highly affectionate, smart girl. If you are looking for a dog that will show you loyalty she is the one! She is a smooth coat Border Collie mix. The smooth coat is short and a little course. We think she 1 -2 years old, only about 45lbs. She is housetrained. Luna has many traits of a Border Collie, smart, wants to be around people, not good with cats, however she is great with dogs. We feel she'll do best in a home with another dog and/or with her person home most of the time. I can see her as a pick-up loving side kick. We have had her only 3 weeks and she has learned so much so fast. Listens well to off. She sits, down, off and teaching paw up. Best in home with kids 10 and up. Border Collie Rescue Information: Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
