With his ears ready for take-off, Raffie is a fun gung-ho dog! This beautiful brindle boy is Raffie, a one-year old, 50-pound male hound mix who is currently in a loving foster home in Northbridge, MA. This boy is so smart. How smart?!? He already knows all of these cues: sit, down, off, paw, other paw, catch, drop it, fetch, wait, and take it. He is a confident dog who loves learning new things so just think what else he is capable of doing. In fact, he's really good at agility, too! Raffie enjoys zoomies and playing in the backyard, but his favorite activity is going for walks and having outdoor adventures. The hound dog in him would love some woodsy trails to take in all those wonderful scents. Raffie's a great dog, but his ideal person needs experience with resource guarding. He has some issues around his food bowl and favorite toys and bones. His foster mom has been successful in safely taking things from him with no issues. For example, if his bowl needs to be picked up, she will toss some kibble aside to redirect his focus. Children should be age 10 and up, although very experienced dog owners with younger kids may be considered. Raffie gets along best with lady dogs, but can also be your one and only pet. No cats, please! Ideally a suburban or rural home rather than a city location is best. Raffie is both potty- and crate-trained and also comes neutered and UTD on shots and heartworm prevention.
