About Webster

Adoption Fee: $200
Australian Cattle Dog / Australian Kelpie
Age: Adult

WEBSTER is back! He was in his adoptive home for six months! Everything was 'wonderful' Webster is 'wonderful'. His owner adores him still, but, he went after the cat. Seriously he didn't want the cat rubbing on him anymore%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD| Cat was there first Webby. Webster is about 7 years old and a very healthy, small cattle dog mix, he's about 45 lbs, and could lose a couple and look great! Really a bummer, as Webster seemed to have found his niche with Jennifer. He's so sad to be back in rescue, but not the center of attention. I'm skipping over a lot of history. Since I first met Webster in November of 2020. And getting to the bottom line in describing the right home for this little dog. 1. One person! Webster will cause a divorce or a break up. He will. take a side, and pretty soon, the humans are too. Usually it is not Webster's side though. So his divide and conquer plan has some flaws. Maybe if he had thumbs he could carry out his evil intentions. 2. No children please. Another dog would be ok. Webster does well with dominant male dogs. He worships my 100 lb 8 yr old male Romeo. So a mentor dog would be great. 3. No cats, I thought he could be trusted, but apparently not. 4. An active adopter, lots of walks, hikes, and he loves water and the beach! 5. A secure yard or no yard. Webster will escape a yard to be with you. So until he's bonded and at home, no unsupervised time in a yard. He's very well house trained. Non destructive. But Webster needs someone committed to keeping him safe and supervised for a couple weeks, just until he forms an attachment! And the, you couldn't lose him unless you could outrun him! If you are a single person, and see yourself so... and want some loyal, low maintenance company, Webster could be your guy. He loves to ride in a car. Loves his walks! And loves the most, being with his person. Webster loves his wire crate with his bed pad in it. Door is never closed, he retires himself! I know he's hating it here now. He used to have the run of this place, but he's the new kid in town for now. Others have been here before him. But Webster does not understand why he's in a yard not his kennel inside. But, I stopped hearing about it! He quit whining after about a %BD%BD%BD%BD hr. Good sign. He's not going to torture me. Webster comes with his bed, collar, lots of toys and accouterments. Everything Webster. And of course he is neutered, fully vaccinated and micro-chipped. Interested in this evil genius, I mean little darling?
