About Macie

*Update* Thank you for the overwhelming response to Macie's listing. We are currently going through all 200+ responses and will be contacting homes that fit Macie's needs best, if I haven't already been in touch. At this time, we only wish to communicate with individuals/families who live in NC and preferably those who are within a 30 minute drive due to Macie's tendency to get car sick. If I have been in contact with you already, this does not apply. Please bear with us as we take the time needed to sort through the numerous responses to find the best home possible for Macie. Thank you! Macie is a playful, loving 1 year old miniature Aussiedoodle. She is crate-trained and house-broken, but needs to be taken out regularly or else she may have an accident if her signals are overlooked. But she will definitely let you know when she needs to go out. Macie gets along well with our 11 year old Lab and loves to play. She has grown up with our 3 kids, but we feel Macie would be happiest in a home with older kids as she seems to prefer our teenage kids. She has done well with our 2 year old, but will growl at her if our daughter's hugs get too rough or gets in her face. But, not every time. She happily licks our daughter and especially loves our 2 yr old most when she has food! Lol Macie loves playing at the dog park and thoroughly enjoys the companies of other dogs. She loves big and loves to be involved in whatever her humans are doing, from relaxing on the couch, playing fetch or going for walks. Macie is a sweet affectionate girl and we've struggled with the decision to adopt her out, but ultimately we feel she would be happiest in a home with a playmate closer to her age and older kids.
