About Sirius

Sirius is a young male Labrador retriever that came from SC. He is higher energy being only a year and a half. But he is very sweet and can chill in the house as well. He is currently under heartworm treatment which is curable and not contagious at this point in treatment . We expect no problems being he is very young and probably very early in infectious stage. He only needs three injections over the next month and a half and he will be finished. Rescue covers expenses her at our facility . He is dog friendly. Not sure about cats. Would do best in a home with a fenced yard. He is not bad on leash but very strong and does need basic leash training. Needs adequate exercise at this time in his life while he is young. He can resume normal activity off leash one month after last injection. Prior to that he must be leash walked. He is a gorgeous boy! Neutered and vaccinated. Because of his size probably best w larger kids or teens only. Would have to cat test so unsure about cat compatibility at this point. House trained and crate trained (does not potty in crate) but does not like to go into crates. Good in car. He is currently in foster home in Lancaster Pa.
