About Lotus

Adoption Fee: $ 250
American Staffordshire Terrier
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Lotus is an all white Am. Staff. She is unaltered. Her ears are not cropped; she holds them up all the time. She is my world and it's literally breaking my heart to lose her! Circumstances have changed; and I am unable to have her. This is going to devastate the both of us! She's always been amazingly sweet with my grandchildren. She just plays too rough for my liking. She needs to be crated if left home alone for any length of time as she will jump through a window (glass and all) if she sees another dog. Even if it's across 4 lanes of traffic. She also needs to be seatbelted when going for rides as she again will jump out of the vehicle (moving or not) if she sees another dog. She's loyal, extremely protective, dominate, and territorial. She can be aggressive towards men. She is best suited for a single female; preferably 35 to 55 years old without children and absolutely no other animals in the home. Someone able to be home with her. She likes to sleep in bed and under the covers. She gets raw cow femur bones only! You can get them from the meat department at Meijer. Most times you need to go to the counter and ask for them. She loves stopping for a beef stick or jerky while taking a potty break and stretching her legs on longer car rides. She rides passenger side shotgun. She has to stay to her brands of dog food. They are both dry, but mixed for a better nutritional benefit. She had allergies; which is why her diet MUST NOT BE CHANGED!!! No peanut butter or anything else containing peanuts or peanut butter. She is a powerhouse! She has broken choke chains, doggy tie outs, and it's an absolute must for her to be on a cable tie out designed for Greatdanes, Mastiffs, and other large dogs. She also requires a fenced in yard. Must be a privacy fence! And it must have an escape guard! Usually a foot or two of fencing buried into the ground and cemented in place is best. Adoption fee is negotiationable
