About Bear

Hello my name is Bear I found myself in a kill shelter after I was wandering the street in Caswell County NC. I was urgent and nobody wanted me. My time was up so a nice lady pulled me and took me to a boarding facility until she could find me a rescue to save my life since I am a good dog. My rescue people stepped up to take me into rescue and I'm not with them in doggie daycare/boarding in Mt Ulla NC where some of their others dogs are. I have made some friends and pretty happy here. I am 2 years old and have a vet appt 2/19 for a check up. My paperwork from the shelter says I'm a hound/boxer mix so I am a mixed breed. I will be neutered and microchipped soon but I am heart worm positive. I can not go through my treatment until I'm either adopted or in a foster home because boarding can be stressful when I need to remain calm and relaxed after treatment. My rescue said someone can even foster to adopt me. Of course they will continue to pay for my medical bills until I test negative. I'm such a good boy and know some commands and very loving. I am dog, kid and people friendly but not sure about cats since my rescue doesn't know if I've seen one or not but they can cat test me upon request. I walk pretty good on a leash and don't make a mess in my kennel so my rescue thinks I've been in a home at some point because I like to wait until I am taken out of my kennel to potty. I wish I could talk to tell you my story but I'm just really grateful to be given a second change and hope someone likes me and will take me home with them.
