About Duke

Duke is a 3 year old, 70 pound Yellow Lab mix. He is a sweet, gentle, loving boy. Duke is learning basic commands in his foster home but still likes to pull on a leash. He does well with other dogs. Duke requires a physically fenced yard so he can run and play safely. Duke was found as a stray in Missouri. Some kind people took him in and kept him for 3 weeks looking for his owner who never came. Duke did well with their dogs and children. Our suspicion is that Duke was lost because he was chasing deer. His foster parents live in the woods and Duke watches the deer but has not made any attempt to jump their 4' fence. Duke loves deer but we would like him to be in a fenced yard in town without a lot of deer around to torture him. Duke is house trained, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped.
