About Alex (Walton County)

Hey everyone! My name is Alex (and to be honest I'm not fully sure I actually know that is my name)! I'm a 10- to 11-month-old Australian cattle dog mix currently being fostered in Defuniak Springs, FL (Walton County). With that said, I am full of energy! I love to eat, run, jump, and play with other dogs, and more than anything, I love my belly being rubbed. I have yet to meet a stranger, and little people are fun because they play ball with me! Because I still struggle with some basic commands, it's probably best that you have a fenced-in yard. While I'm eating, I really don't mind if you hang around or even try to take some of my food, but because of my past, sometimes I'm not too fond of other dogs being around while I eat. I can also get a little jealous and protective over some of my toys. I would really love a home where I can run and play outside. My foster humans have a dirt pile and it's amazing! During my time with them, they've helped me learn (for the most part) that I should use the bathroom outside. Sometimes I forget, but I'm doing a lot better. It also took me a while to figure out that I sleep in my own space (crate), but I've also become adjusted to that as well. Alex is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative.
