About Lucy

Pug / Siberian Husky
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

What do you get when you combine a Husky, a Pug, and an American Staffordshire Terrier? You get this adorable, active, snuggly girl - Lucy! Lucy was born in the Texas woods as a puppy and found when she was mere weeks old. Unfortunately, the people that found her did not socialize her and kept her tied up outside until STAR rescued her and brought her up to MA. She is around 4 years old now. Due to her early upbringing, Lucy is weary of newcomers and takes time to warm up to people. Once she knows you mean no harm, she is an absolute love bug who will lean into your legs and kiss you all over. She is an active pup who loves to go on hikes, play fetch and tug of war, and stalk squirrels. She is extremely food motivated. When she is tuckered out, she finds the best bed in the house whether that's on top of a bunch of pillows or underneath some blankets. She hates loud noises including thunder and fireworks. She also hates walking near loud trucks and buses. She can be very dog reactive and would do best in a home that is dog free. She has lived with cats. A home without dogs or kids is preferred. With consistent training, positive reinforcement, and a dedicated owner Lucy is an amazing dog.
