HEY THERE!! YOU! YES, YOU!! PLEASE STOP SCROLLING!! My name is PORKY - yep, you heard that right. PORKY. I am named after a pig. Let me explain - my brother, PIGLET, and I were rescued from a high kill shelter when we were only 6 weeks old. Our future did not look bright because we were tiny and had a severe case of non-contagious demodex mange. YUCK, you say!! We did not have any hair at all - yep, we were completely NAKED! And we were PINK just like little piggies - in fact, our foster mom lovingly called us her little pink piggies! Well, I may not be the most handsome puppy around but let me tell you something, I am the BEST cuddler and lap pup you will ever meet!! I don't think people realize just how awesome my foster mom thinks I am - even though I have short legs that turn out, a very cute underbite, squinty eyes and am plain jane with no chrome at all! I love my brother and we do sometimes snuggle and we love to play tug - we could play tug all day long - but I would be just fine if you decided that one dog is enough! Piglet and I can be separated because that would mean I would get ALL the love but staying together would be fine too (foster mom said she could do a two for the price of one - whatever that means)!! Oh, and about that awful mange stuff, I am all over that because my immune system has gotten strong (just like me)!! Speaking of being strong, my foster mom says I need to tone it down a little because I have what is called a 'chihuahua 'tude'. That means I THINK I am much bigger and stronger and braver than I actually am. Whatever, lady!! Won't you give a plain jane guy like me a chance???? PORKY is available for adoption with Saving Grace Dog Rescue of San Antonio. The adoption fee is $150.00. An adoption application, home visit and adoption contract are all required. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations appropriate for their age, microchipped, and wormed for internal and external parasites. Please note that visual breed identification in rescue dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only GUESSING at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
