About Yahtzie

Anatolian Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

YAHTZEE is a great dog...great big dog. 3 yrs old; 80#s and still on the slender side. Since he has been at our rescue, he has become the sweetest dog ever. In foster in Centralia, WA We have tested him with all sorts of animals...ponies, goats, sheep, chickens, pigs, cats, and other dogs. He has no interest in them. He does like being with puppies. He will lay down with them and play with them between his legs. The vet gave him a birthday of 12/11/17. He came to us as an unneutered male so he still looks twice at other male dogs but after a proper introduction he doesn't care anymore. I do have YouTube videos of him with some of the other animals and one of him with some puppies. YAHTZEE & PUPS https://youtu.be/ZdudfsphEng YAHTZEE ON THE LEASH https://youtu.be/IdBJl_q1e4k YAHTZEE AND FARM ANIMALS https://youtu.be/FLFpdSm7Rxs In the process of walking him around all the animals I got the most reaction when he met the pigs. He was VERY curious with big open eyes! When the pig grunted at him, he went in reverse so fast I almost couldn't hold on. It was hilarious. Then we let him in the house during the heat of the day he cautiously walked up to my window AC and sniffed it...then put his nose are the air vents where the cool air was coming out and he just took it all in and stood there and took deep breaths. Then he laid down beside the bed and proceeded to watch TV...for the first time in his life. He watched it for at least 10 mins!!! He has always been an outside dog but he's learning. He was loose in the house for about 6 hrs and absolutely got into no trouble. He has really turned into a wonderful, loving dog. We try to make it as easy as possible for you but if you are applying or have applied anywhere else, we do need to know that, too. SHANYE'S FOSTERS is a group of foster parents in the Olympia/Tumwater area. We foster dogs for rescues and assist them in adopting/rehoming of their pups/dogs by listing on this site. Many dogs posted here are available to pre adopt NOW directly from the rescue. The only ones in foster in the NW specifically state that. We have very few fosters so most need to be pre adopted. All adoption fees go towards rescuing more dogs in need. No one receives a salary. Shayne's Fosters is not responsible for any experience you have with any dog you might see posted on this site. They are the property of the sponsoring rescue who will supply all medical supporting records which is given with each dog when adopted. Our adoption fees cover all medical costs to make sure the pups are appropriately vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and spayed/ neutered. It also covers the cost of transport from Texas and the necessary health certificate documentation. The fees also include a negative heartworm test for any dogs over 6 months. Some dogs have additional medical, such as FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and a myriad of other vetting. We do full disclosure of medical care/situations. If the adoption fees seem high (which never cover the true cost of rescue), we recommend fostering for a good rescue. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees. We are always in need of good fosters. We are all volunteers who donate our time and resources to help save as many dogs/pups lives as we possibly can. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. Over 1 billion dogs worldwide are put to sleep (PTS) annually... thousands daily. The dog pounds PTS entire litters, pregnant/nursing moms and wonderful dogs that can make someone a great companion. We firmly believe there is NO breed ot
