About Sparrow

Lark & Sparrow are four year old scruffy Terrier/Poodle mixes in search of a better life. They probably have a bit of Dachshund in them too. Both have short legs and long bodies. These two sisters spent their entire lives confined to a small outdoor kennel along with two other dogs that we rescued. Rarely did they receive any attention or love. Lark and Sparrow are starved for affection but timid due to lack of socialization. Once they trust you, both are quite charming and sweet. They are a good fit for a senior or family with older children that are looking for a quiet calm companion. Their low-shedding coats are shaggy and easy to maintain. Both are medium size dogs that weigh around twenty pounds. It would be nice if Lark and Sparrow were adopted together but not necessary. Both do well with other dogs that are submissive and well behaved. They have not been around cats but we can test that for you. Expect to spend some time helping Lark and Sparrow adjust to their new home. Since their lives were spent outdoors they have not been housebroken. They do prefer going on grass and will learn quickly if kept on a regular schedule. A fenced in yard will make training much easier and give them a safe place to stretch their legs. Neither has ever been able to go on a walk or run across a field up until now. They are really enjoying their new found freedom and anxious to find a loving family. Lark and Sparrow have really blossomed since entering our care and have a bright future ahead of them. Will you give one or both the wonderful life they deserve?
