About Evie

Evie is your classic leaning, lap-sitting, massage loving Dane who loooves her people. World's worst guard dog, she will let anyone in the house as long as they have a free hand for petting. While it seems like her training up until this point has been limited, Evie is eager to please and attentive to the instructions from her humans. She loves a cozy couch if allowed, but is respectful if told no. She still has some work to do with leash training, but walks well on a gentle leader. Evie has done great around older children, but like most Danes, she isn't very aware of her size so this may present a problem for younger children. However, she does tend to save her zoomies for the backyard. Crate training is a work in progress as Evie is very fearful of the crate, but she has not been destructive when left out at home alone. This sweet girl would be content with a comfy bed, some good snacks, and a family to call her own. She has been loving playing at doggie daycare a couple of times per week and puts herself to bed on the days she comes home worn out. She would be fine as an only dog or with another dog in the home. We will require a meet & greet to ensure she & the other dog hit it off. She is good with cats. Evie is 2 yrs old. She's currently in a foster home in the Raleigh NC area. We do adopt out of state but require adopters to travel to the Foster home to pick up their dog.
