About Lady Lexi

Lady Lexi is an attractive affectionate spayed female who was born on Aug 3, 2019 in Houston, TX. Out of Border Collie [Generator] by Treeing Walker Coonhound [Sean Duke]. She is known as a Tri-Black coloration with glossy coat - is 23' at shoulders - 30' nose to rump - weighs 43 lbs She is crate and leash trained and rides well in enclosed vehicle She is a non-aggressive beta - somewhat sensitive, due to joint issue - gets along with all dogs and people - not an avid barker or instigator - has a strong deterring bark when needed. She loves to retrieve toys from her toybox - plays well with others. Has not been exposed to cats, other than on leashed walks/runs. Lady Lexi is current with vaccinations and is in excellent health, with one exception: Diagnosed with severe left hip dysplasia which seems instrumental in causing her knees to dislocate on occasion. She has learned how to put them back into place by lying down and stretching, followed by not jumping or standing up on hind legs. Her Vet recommends an orthopedic surgeon be involved in her treatment protocol. Lady Lexi was sent to me [in Washington State], as a five month old, long with two healthy littermates - who have been purchased and enjoying active lifestyles with wonderful families on acreage properties. Upon completion of her needed treatment - 18 month old Lady Lexi deserves the same. As a 70-something 'dog whisperer' retiree - I have poured into her and taken her as far as I am financially able, (since Jan 2010) and simply must let her go. Euthanizing is my very last choice of options. I implore you - if you have a heart for the hurting, space to facilitate her needs, a love for these breed, and financially willing to invest in vastly improving her quality of life for next 12 years - PLEASE - do step forward.
