About Honey

This is a sad story. We saw these two pups on the internet advertisement that said they were in a shelter in California and needed a get out ASAP. We had planned on rescuing another dog from California anyway, so we decided that we could rescue these two puppies, too. When we arrived at the shelter, they brought us out two mutants. We decided to take them on anyway. We took them to our vet to see if anything could be done for their deformities. He took X-rays of their legs. One pup had 9 fractures in her legs; 7 were already healed and 2 are still healing. These injuries fused their elbows in the bent position, they can not straighten their elbows. The injuries are believed to be caused by severe abuse. Despite this, the puppies still want human interaction and affection. Honey is the nicest one of the two. She is precious. There were more of these puppies in the shelter and we have spoken with a rescue that has two more of them. They ran a DNA test on them and it came back that they are purebred Rotties. They only weigh about 35 and 45 pounds & just want someone to love them.
