About Gracie

This beautiful Shepherd mix is 12-18 months old and weighs 60-65 pounds. She is smart & food motivated so training is going well. Gracie is already house trained and crate trained. She walks well on a leash but needs help avoiding distractions. She is not much of a barker, but she will 'talk' at times. It's adorable to hear her communicate that way. She has been tested for heartworm disease and was negative. We have been giving her heartworm prevention (Heartgard Plus) each month. She has not been spayed yet, but the procedure will be completed in February. Gracie is good at keeping herself entertained and loves being with people. She has the most gorgeous yellow/tan eyes, soft fur and a super sweet personality. Her downfall? She does not do well with other dogs. In order to thrive, she needs to be the only pet in the home. From her foster dad: 'She is house trained and does really well in her crate both when people are gone and when sleeping through the night. Gracie loves people and playing with us. She likes tennis balls and pulling apart rope toys. She will hang out and amuse herself for quite a while and then come snuggle. Gracie is a super easy dog to live and play with. Her only fault is she wants to be the only pet in your life.' We do not provide DNA testing which is the only way to know with certainty which breeds are in her genetic background. Our best guess is that she is a Shepherd mix. She currently weighs 62 lbs and is believed to be full grown although we can not guarantee her age or size.
