About Max

Max loves other dogs! We do not know what he thinks of cats. He is super sweet, happy and friendly. Max is looking for a family to love him and give him a nice soft bed and a roof over his head for the rest of his life. Max is about 2-3 years old and 36 pounds. ****Max had been living his life outside on a chain when he was rescued. When he was brought to the vet he was found to be positive for heartworms. He has finally completed his round of heartworm treatments and when he returned to the vet to be checked, he was positive for microfilia. He will not be able to get his next treatment until 8/6/21. Instead of keeping poor Max at the shelter until August, Max is available for adoption now however his adopter must work with us in getting him his treatment (We will pay for him to be treated at our vet and we will pay for another heartworm test at our vet.)*** We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.
