About Coco

Currently in foster in Vancouver, Washington. Coco is 1 yr old 36 lb chocolate Lab/Pitbull mix. She is an energetic, affectionate and Gal that likes other dogs her size. She is a great companion for an active family with a secure 6 ft fence, children over 8 years of age. What cocos foster family has to say about this sweetie pie Coco has a great disposition. She loves humans and loves dogs. She has interacted with numerous other dogs and does not seem to be phased. Since she is still a puppy, she needs someone that is active as Coco has quite a bit of energy. Coco is very food motivative and always up for a treat or additional food. If she is to be in a house with another dog, which does work fabulously for her, it would be best if they were supervised and fed separately, as she does try to eat the other dog's food! No aggression just she's a bit of a piglet that way HA HA. I believe this is something that can also be corrected with training. Regarding training, Coco would do best in a home where someone has experience with younger dogs. She can jump at times and will need someone to leash train her so she doesn't pull.. She enjoys the outdoors and seems to love water and snow. While she enjoys the outdoors, she is an inside dog and loves curling up and sleeping next to someone on the couch or bed. We will ask all adopters to have at least one session with Patti Howard an excellent dog trainer who works remotely/zoom and Patti even gives our adopters her special rate. We recommend Patti for all adopters so everything goes smoothly. Its wonderful to now have a great very reasonably priced trainer to offer to all of our adopters for their fur kids! We have completed the surgery to fix her cherry eye Will do best with family where someone works from home or is a stay at home parent and hopefully another dog. Pitbull/Lab experience is required. She is an indoor dog. She likes walks, car rides, toys and dog beds. She will require daily walks/hikes and some dog training. Will require 6 ft fence. No apartments or rentals. No cats. They are the property of the sponsoring rescue who will supply all medical supporting records which is given with each dog when adopted.
