About Hunter - HOLD

Hunter was dropped off at a local shelter shelter by his owners who said they didn't want him anymore and to kill him. The shelter staff could not do that to such a nice dog and reached out to us to help find him a good home. Hunter gets along with other dogs and really enjoys being around people. We do not know what he thinks about cats. He likes to play with toys and will bring it back to you to toss again. A home without the energy of young children would probably suit him best. This gorgeous boy is about 5 years old and 66 pounds. Please help Hunter find his forever home. Update: Hunter tested positive for Ehrlicchia, a common tick borne disease similar to Lyme's. He is currently on a course of oral antibiotic which he can complete with his new family. Hunter is currently still available for adoption. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.
