BEAR - NO ID # Frankfort Humane Society, Frankfort, KY Bear is a 5 year old Chow boy and is 67 lbs of fluff and fun! He looks mostly purebred, but is believed to be mixed with another breed such as a bit of shepherd or husky perhaps. The shelter describes Bear as 'a big baby that is playful with people'. He loves treats and being out of his kennel and in the play yard. This poor guy has been totally overlooked and waiting since August for a home, following being surrendered to the Franklin County Humane Society in Kentucky after he escaped his home and went after the neighbor's small dog. Bear needs an experienced Chow or Asian dog breed owner and someone willing to take the time to gain his trust and get to know his great personality. Low $50 adoption fee thanks to a sponsor. He comes fully vetted, neutered, is HW negative, and microchipped. Please note Bear needs to be the only pet in the home, and older children are recommended. While we understand he lived inside a home, he also requires a fenced yard (although is not a fence jumper). Having a routine is his comfort zone.
