Virginia is a wonderful, loving, and loyal German Shepherd who would thrive with a home without dogs and with an experienced owner looking for a companion. She's extremely intelligent and food motivated: she was the star of her obedience class and would love a home with someone interested in training her to do more advanced tricks and tasks. She's already house trained, knows the basic commands, and is happy relaxing by your side all day. If you want a velcro dog who adores you, she's your girl! Virginia does have some separation anxiety, however, but would respond wonderfully to training and having consistent exercise. She's very athletic, but calm indoors, and can go on long runs easily. She doesn't get along well with high-energy dogs and would be best as the only dog in a household without young children. At 80lbs, she's very strong, and can pull on leash and has issues with some dogs on walks. With consistent training, exercise, and leadership she would do wonderfully and we'd love to see her go to a home that knows German Shepherds and wants a devoted companion.
