About SWEETY

Life could be sweeter with SWEETY (ID #A1964552) in it. And, without a doubt, this 1-year-old also needs to experience a sweeter and kinder life. SWEETY was relinquished to the East Valley Animal Shelter, Van Nuys, CA, and staff was requested to put her down. You read that right. 'Per owner NO SMALL DOGS A shelter employee spent some time with SWEETY and found her to be very sweet, logging the following note: 'BEHAVIORAL, GOOD BEHAV (Mon, Jan 25, 2021 5:49 PM) 01-25-21 On aproach she was in her cubby laying down. I tried a few minutes of crouching and using baby talk to coax her out, but she would not move. I shut the guillotine door and took her out through the cubbie door. Once on leash she began to walk very well. When walking into the kennel area with the dogs barking on both sides, she began to crawl until we got to a more quiet section. Once in the yard, she relaxed a little. She immediatly urinated and defecated. Her tail was tucked the entire time in the yard. When I sat on the ground, she aproached and leaned against me. She posed with me for selfies and gave a couple face kisses. Trying to get a forward facing portrait made her a bit timid. Easy to releash. I took her back to the office and she got comfortable on the dog bed where she took a nap. After being in the office for the greater part of an hour, she was much more relaxed and confident and allowed me to pet her all over. Easy to releash and rekennel.'
