About Loretta

Australian Cattle Dog mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Meet Loretta! Cattle dogs are typically described as feisty, active dogs. While that may be true, my foster mom says I'm the perfect balance. I can walk a few miles on a leash, I can play chase with my resident dog for quite a while, or I can hang out at home and chew bones and tear up cardboard boxes (thank you Amazon). I am about 9 months old and currently weigh 27lbs. If I don't say so myself, I have the cutest set of ears you have ever seen! I currently live with one large dog and five pretty calm children. I love my foster mom too, but I don't need to follow her around all day because I'm pretty independent. As long as my crate is in your bedroom, I'll sleep in it quietly through most the night. I don't like my crate during the day, so my foster mom allows me to stay in the kitchen but has a pee pad by the door...... Just in case. I'm mostly potty trained but if you miss my cue, I might pee by the door! I'm also pretty smart! I already know the commands: sit, stay, and down. I am very food/treat motivated and I'll work hard for it. If my forever home has another dog, it should be a dog who can keep me in line while I'm learning the boundaries of play. Since I don't love my crate during the day, it would be great if someone was home to take care of me. Even though I'm a bit older, you have to remember I'm just a puppy and I'm still learning all the rules. I'm cautious and curious about new people/dogs so I'll bark at them until I know they are 'ok' My shelter name is Loretta but my favorite nickname is Rosie! Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee).
