The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less than ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train. Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue. However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are micro chipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location. Hi, my name is Keisha and I am a 6 pound, 5 year old Pomeranian girl who is absolutely delightful. I was in tough shape last year with severe alopecia and dry eye. With time, love and no stress, my hair has all come back except for my back. I will need cyclosporine drops in my eyes for the rest of my life but I take them like a champ. I have some separation anxiety so I need a very quiet home with little to no change in my daily routine (not a lot of people coming and going as it stresses me out) or I start to lose my hair, again. I had a horrible start to life so I need stay at home parents who will take me with them whenever they can. If you are a busy couple who are on the go, I am not the dog for you. I love to go for walks and am perfect on a leash. I am pee pad trained so you can take me anywhere. I love my humans and will need to be as close to you as I can, preferably on your lap.
